Our Vessel
Our proud vessel was built in Falmouth in 1911 and was christened the Carbolate. It started life a an oil tanker serving the tar works at Bristol & Gloucester
Since then, she has carried passengers, served drinks, survived changing times, and come rather close to disappearing altogether.
After years of painstaking restoration, she has been given a renewed purpose—as the Docks' most unusual dining experience.
That’s 65 tonnes of maritime history, an immense amount of family hard work, and now, thankfully, considerably less tar!

Enjoy our delicious split-level buffet from just £17. Pre-book your spot online to guarantee your table above or below deck, or casually walk in and take any available table. Adults can also choose the single-fill platter option from our buffet for £12 at weekends but their access will only be limited to the top deck buffet & seating
Please be advised that our team are currently only manning the boat on weekends when we have bookings making impromptu walk-ins (at weekends) only possible when we are serving parties whom have booked. As we get more popular are operating window will widen to cover the whole weekend
Buffet favorites made available mid-week
Visit the boat between 12 & 2pm to enjoy mid-week lunches Wednesday to Friday. You get to select some our most favourite dishes at heavily-discounted prices as an incentive for you to enjoy our offering. We are also launching a weekend delivery service through Just Eat & Uber to make our food super accessible
